We had a great meeting with our group on Monday. Not only did we agree on a mission statement and what we aim to do, but we also came up with a name for the new church community. The name is Ecclesia Denver. Our mission is "an urban community living the way of Jesus [through] mission. restoration. interdependence. liturgy. transformation." We talked about starting a couple missional communities in June and then launching a worship gathering in mid-July. We also agreed to use the church building offered to us by His Love Fellowship at 910 Kalamath St. This Monday we meet with the elders at Waterstone Church to present the idea to them to gain their support as a daughter church. With all that said, we have decided to give this a try. It is exciting to think about and nice to have a decision made.
