Alvin spent the morning with Karla today. He got two new books from the Tattered Cover and he went to the aquarium. Apparently he soaked his shirt attempting to pet the sting rays. He also got to see Curtis dive with the sharks.

I spent the morning getting the car cleaned, my hair cut, and taking a shower. It was nice to have a morning of my own. In the afternoon I met Nick, Jodi, and Justin at a church called His Love Fellowship. Nick has a connection with the pastor there who has offered us the use of the building on Sunday nights. It is an old baptist church building built in the 1920's complete with high ceilings, 200 wooden seats on the floor and 200 wooden seats in the balcony. There is even a built-in baptismal in the corner. Because of the location this place would be more inner-city than urban in context. The inner-city context could be a great thing for us since we keep talking about having a focus on benevolent action and social justice. The pastor we met for the tour was very hospitable. They have a kingdom mindset and want to do all they can to help.
