Last weekend Allison and I were able to attend a church planter's training conference in Arvada hosted by the Evangelical Covenant Church - a denomination we are currently is discussion with about Ecclesia joining. This was a helpful conference since we have never had any training in this area. It was also good to meet a number of the Covenant people and get a feel for their values and beliefs put into action. http://www.covchurch.org/
In two weeks we will be at a conference called "The Born Again Church Tour" put on by Off the Map Live - a group out of Seattle. This is a group of mainly post-church Christian type people who are really trying to understand what the church should be. It's a great conference to get the mind thinking and dig into some deeper meanings of the church. I was able to attend it in Seattle last fall and excited they are coming out to Denver this year. http://offthemap.com/live/
And, by the way, Bishop Machebeuf HS beat Arrupe Jesuit HS yesterday 8-1. We (Machebeuf) are now 3-6-2 with 4 games left in the regular season over the next two weeks.
