April 15th

Today Olivia is 2 months old and 35 weeks gestational age. She weighs 4lbs 3oz and just drank 30cc milk from a bottle. She discontinued the use of caffeine yesterday which was helping her with breathing. The only things she is on right now are oxygen, vitamins, and an anti-gas med for her belly. We figure she has anywhere from 3-6 weeks left in the NICU. The main thing she has to do now is learn to eat on her own. She can go home with oxygen if need be.

Wow- over 4 lbs! This is great. We will be praying for her to begin to eat on her own!

You must be feeling a huge sense of "on our way!" How are you feeling? Afraid to get too excited or can hardly contain yourselves?

I'll continue to pray for you all.

It has felt wonderful the past few weeks to get mainly growth reports from her doctors. We are beginning to feel some sense of normalcy, even if we aren't there 100% yet. Something seems to come up, whether it is with me or Olivia. But it gets easier each week.

I'm excited for her to come home, but also very aware we are in for a shock when she does. We might have an infant girl, but we sleep through the night at our house right now. That will change!

Thanks for your prayers.
