Exciting Changes for Ecclesia

A couple of weeks ago the people of Ecclesia made a decision to change the worship gathering location and time. Given who we are and the people we want to create space for it seemed best to find a sacred space where we could meet in the morning. This was challenging since we are in an urban context where active churches use their sacred space on Sunday mornings and vacant historic church buildings are being sold off and converted into condos. There's just not a whole lot of opportunity out here.

After much thinking, praying, researching, driving around, and making calls we learned that an amazing historic church building on the Auraria Campus, which serves Metro State and UCD, is not currently being used on Sunday mornings. The campus owns the church building and uses it for such things as music recitals, weddings, and other school functions but these don't typically fall on a Sunday morning. We are thrilled to be able to use this space that has had worshiping communities in it since the 1920's and is located in the very heart of Denver where the original city began.

Beginning this Sunday, May 3rd, Ecclesia will meet at the historic St. Cajetan's Church at 10am. We would like to offer a warm welcome to anyone in the Denver area who does not currently have a community of faith.
