Happy birthday to our awesome six-year-old. He is our fun, curious, and often silly little boy. He's always full of energy. He plays hard and sleeps sound. He's adventurous, loyal to his friends, and a self-motivated learner. Besides learning to ride his bike, taking his first strokes in the pool, and getting familiar with the piano keys, this summer he has taken an interest in the Avengers - especially Captain America. And, in less than three weeks he will begin 1st grade and his second season of soccer.
Today I took Alvin for a father-son breakfast at McD's. He ate a big breakfast with hotcakes. Then he went to VBS where all 60+ kids sang to him. At lunch time, Alvin wasn't hungry. However, he found enough room to pack in a homemade cupcake (or two) for a mid-afternoon snack. For his birthday dinner he requested pepperoni pizza - one of the staples around here (good thing Allison makes a great pizza).
