Summer Vacation

On Friday I flew out to Colorado to join the rest of my family for vacation. After a brief one-day visit in Denver and a baptism ceremony, we all headed to Steamboat Springs for a week in the Rocky Mountains. Although I've been here numerous times, I am always in awe of the beauty. The mountains are incredible - green and full of wildflowers and wildlife.

It took me a couple of days to decompress and relax. On day three I'm finally beginning to feel like I can rest. Today we hiked to Fish Creek Falls. Then we went into town to visit the local library and see five of the natural springs (including Steamboat Spring).

Below are several pictures from the hike. We still have two more days in Steamboat and then a day at Dinosaur National Monument in western Colorado.
