Friday was the last day of school for the year. Alvin completed second grade and Olivia finished her preschool studies. To honor the end of the school year and the beginning of summer break we took a road trip to Modesto to see our favorite (High A) minor league team, the Nuts (a Rockies affiliate). Our friends Sandy, Aeisha, Pablo, and James met us at the game. The kids played a lot on the playground and bounce house. The game was a close one but the Nuts won it in the 10th inning with a walk-off home run which was promptly followed by a fireworks show. Before we could drive back to Murphys we had to make one more stop to get cold drinks at Sonic.
