In case we haven't spoken with you in a while, we moved to St. Louis, MO in January 2016. Chad received a call to serve as pastor of Community Covenant Church, which is in the inner ring suburb of Kirkwood. Alli has been working hard as a part-time chaplain at two hospitals while continuing her chaplaincy training. She was also ordained to Word and Sacrament by our denomination, The Evangelical Covenant Church, in June.
The kids are doing well even though it was difficult for them to leave their friends in Murphys, CA. Alvin is currently in fifth grade. He loves playing soccer, baseball, and basketball. This year he's been infatuated with all things Pokemon and Star Wars. Olivia is in second grade and loves to help others. She has shown interest in tennis but really loves gymnastics and swimming. She is on the YMCA swim team for the first time this year. She usually gets interested in whatever her brother likes and she also loves to cook and bake.
Even though it's been an adjustment, we've enjoyed getting to know the St. Louis area - having season passes to Six Flags hasn't hurt either. We've all been able to make new friends and look forward to meeting more in the coming year. We still love all our old friends so if you ever find yourself traveling to St. Louis, please look us up.
